This year the collective ZMR bracelet, with the environmental message “Respect the Mountains”, which is the core philosophy of the race, raises awareness of the disease of cystic fibrosis, motivating all of us to “Run and Win CF”.
“My Adventure-Event Organizer Pro”, the organizing company of Zagori Mountain Running, cordially embraced the initiative of two parents who are running the campaign on cystic fibrosis, a very common genetic disorder in our country.
The Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease characterized by the buildup of thick, sticky mucus that can damage many of the body’s organs. The disorder’s most common signs and symptoms include progressive damage to the respiratory system and chronic digestive system problems, decreasing the life expectancy.
The collective bracelet “Respect the Mountains –Run and Win FC” will be available at the Fifth Element-Adventure Equipment Store, Ioannina and at the Fifth Element Booth, ZMR EXPO in Tsepelovo, the venue of the Race. All proceeds from the bracelet will go to the Children’s Hospital “Agia Sofia”-Department of Cystic Fibrosis.
The Zagori Mountain Running 2019 takes the first step towards public awareness of the disease, supporting the Department, with the hope that the future treatment for CF will be promising and bright.
